Emily Cox lives in Saratoga Springs, Utah. She uses surrealism and abstraction in her artwork to express emotions. Capturing a natural flow in nature and connecting it with the mind and heart
Her expressive artwork sometimes uniquely incorporates original musical compositions.
Emily studied both visual communication and piano pedagogy. Perspective and experience come from teaching piano lessons and art for over 25 years. She has worked with many children and adults with mental disabilities and helps to find and incorporate each of their distinctive gifts. She, herself has struggled with ADHD, anxiety, depression and more. Those challenges have given her an advantage. She has been able to use her “hyperfocus” to learn many different skills and trades. if you ask her, “do you know how to…?” the answer is usually, “yes.” or “no, but I bet I can figure it out.”
